Our Top 5 Style Stars From The Golden Globes

Last night’s 76th Golden Globe Awards were all about recognizing the performances of Hollywood’s finest, but what about the fashion? Leave that to us! Here we chose our top 5 leading ladies in the category of looking ah-may-zing. And the style stars are…

Lady Gaga proved ‘A (movie) Star is Born,’ wearing a Tiffany Co. diamond necklace and earrings and couture Valentino. The Best Original Song – Motion Picture (for ‘Shallow’) winner’s periwinkle gown matched her pale blue hair, perfectly. Gaga delivered everything we want to see on a red carpet…bling, wow factor, and overall glamour from head-to-toe.

Regina King, who brought her son Ian along (love!), took the trophy for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ‘If Beale Street Could Talk.’ She also received our style nod for her form-fitting, rose gold sequin, custom Alberta Ferretti gown. A winner and a shimmer! – can’t beat that.

Supermodel Irina Shayk looked like a golden goddess for the Globes in Versace. The sweetheart neckline and thigh-high leg slit are certainly figure flattering and accessorizing with Bradley Cooper is always a good idea.

Jamie Lee Curtis is stunning in all white everything. Curtis’ white hair beautifully complements her white long-sleeved gown and coordinating clutch purse. All in the details—we love the gown’s strong shoulders, sparkling silver embellishment, and centre slit.

Lupita Nyong’o looked flawless in a cobalt blue, fringed Calvin Klein gown and sparkling Bulgari jewels. But the real deal (literally) are the silver, platform shoes the actress wore from Aldo Shoes (the style is Leventer, for anyone wanting to grab a pair). That’s the ultimate high-low fashion moment.

Copy Lindsay Lohan’s Boss Babe Look

She’s back—in the fash lane! With the debut of her reality show, ‘Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club,’ Lindsay Lohan certainly looked like a boss, stopping by a New York City Barnes and Nobel bookstore (she picked up a copy of ‘Joy’s Simple Food Remedies: Tasty Cures for Whatever’s Ailing You’ for everyone wondering). Here’s how to get her totally put together look.

Louis Vuitton Clockwise Sunglasses, $780: Lilo jumped on the luxury logo trend with these aviator-style sunglasses. The signature LV Monogram covers the lenses, making them perfect for serving lewks.

Everlane The Cashmere Crew, $133: Lohan’s crewneck sweater is classic and comfortable. Not to mention, the hue is dreamy!

Aritzia Babaton Stedman Coat, $249: This mid-length, wool-cashmere blend coat in a camel shade keeps the look matchy-matchy. The first order of business…snag one just like it. Second order of business…wait for the compliments.

7 For All Mankind Luxe Vintage Edie with All Over Pearl Studs and Zip Fly in Flora, $238: A lady needs her pearls and the pearl-studded detailing on this stretch denim, certainly does the trick.

Tamara Mellon Siren 90 Nappa, $595: A black pump is the undisputed staple shoe. This hot heel has a peekaboo PVC-piece on the inside that reveals a little skin.

Copy Jessica Alba’s Metallic Camisole

Just because the holiday season is technically over, doesn’t mean you can’t keep wearing your sparkle! Put glitzy pieces to good use (and not just to the back of the closet) by pairing them with other more casual separates, for a look that is both dressed up and down. Here, Jessica Alba, actress and founder of The Honest Company and Honest Beauty, gives us some fash-inspiration.

Zara Basic Blazer, $30: A go-to black blazer is a wardrobe must-have. Super versatile, this one can easily be worn to the office or to catch cocktails with the girls.

Rebecca Minkoff Nora Sequin Camisole, $332: This glittery, metallic tank is just the right amount of bling. Not to mention, its low-dipping neckline is flashy (pun intended) and flirty.

Topshop Gold Logo Belt, $45: This simple, black belt with gold hardware finishes the look without being distracting. You can also wear it over your favourite dress, skirt, or chunky sweater.

Good American Good Boy Raw Edge Jean, $242: These boyfriend jeans deliver a comfortable and cool vibe. And who doesn’t love a relaxed fit after indulging over the last few weeks (or month!)?

Sam Edelman Hilty Ankle Bootie, $229: Take a break from party stilettos and slide on this black bootie. The heel has a dramatic arch that makes it far from basic.

Green with (Dress) Envy

Model Ashley Graham may have been the backstage host at the recent Miss American pageant, but she looked title-worthy, on stage in her Stello custom Dillon gown. The gorgeous floor-length, emerald green gown, with its revealing peek-a-boo chest opening, accentuated Graham’s curves beautifully. Frankly, she looked bombshell gorgeous and radiated confidence, leaving us pinning for a green dress of our own.

House of CB IVA Emerald Velvet Thigh Split Maxi, $280: The long sleeves and high neck are the perfect balance to the thigh-high slit at the front of this Maxi—equal parts demure and revealing. The stretch velvet fabric provides just enough shine for the season.

Revolve Lovers + Friends Hazel Gown, $290: This floor-length, princess-like, chiffon gown has a sweet cut-out in the front that reveals a little pop of skin. But we’re really falling for that leg slit (again!).

Michael Costello X Revolve Jake Gown, $316: One word: want! This gown certainly packs va-va-voom for the ultimate mega-babe look. The jewel-tone fabric is super plush, and the dramatic design is without a doubt, high fashion. This is one for the red carpet.

Adrianna Papell Beaded Neck Ruched Gown, $249: For those times when you don’t want to show skin, this gown has you covered from head to toe (literally). But that’s far from a bad thing! The form-hugging gown is also finished with embellishments around the neck, so you can keep accessories to a minimum.
