Light Up The Holidays With The Silver Dress

If you’re wondering how to brighten your holidays, there’s nothing quite like the little silver dress to instantly illuminate every room that you step into this season. Although most fashionistas already own an LBD or a seductive little red dress, the metallic silver dress is a completely different animal. With its shimmering, aluminum-like texture and sexy fit, this dress trend has been stealing the Fall/Winter 2017 runways. We’ve turned to the catwalks, and compiled a few ways to wear this frock in the weeks ahead.

Christopher Kane

Try drawing your sartorial cues from Christopher Kane, where the silvery dress made a name for itself with a foil-like finish and short sleeves. For a finishing touch, the waist-cinching belt and matching gleaming silver accessories created a futuristic-looking and chic outfit.

Paco Rabanne

At Paco Rabanne, tiny sequins and allover embellishment helped to bring a slinky, strappy frock to life. We are liking the dainty spaghetti straps and cowl neckline on this dress, along with the asymmetrical mid-length hemline. Meanwhile, the matching silver platforms help to bring the overall design to life, and offer a funky feel.

Jonathan Simkhai

The Jonathan Simkhai catwalk revealed an elegant, off-the-shoulder gown that was detailed with silver embellishment. The shiny beadwork lit up the overall design, along with elaborate long sleeves and a thigh-high slit to complete the look. For an accessorizing touch, a coordinating collar necklace and strappy silver heels offered a glamorous feel.
