Get Dakota Fanning’s Red Sweater And White Blouse From “Please Stand By”

Photo: IMDB

In the new comedy drama Please Stand By, Dakota Fanning stars as a young autistic woman who is determined to bring her script to a Hollywood writing competition. As Star Trek-loving protagonist Wendy, the 23-year-old actress manages to combine elements of geek chic into her style. We are particularly loving this cranberry-coloured knit sweater, which is casually layered over a crisp white blouse with a Peter Pan collar. If you are liking this combination, try stealing the look for yourself right now. We have curated a few inspired wardrobe picks that will help you master Fanning’s Please Stand By style right now.

Karen Scott Cotton Cable-Knit Sweater, $18: This cable knit top is a more lightweight alternative to a woolly knit, as it is made with cotton. The tight fit and textured fabric help to complete a simple, minimalistic design.

Iro Ribbed Knit Jumper, $470: The curve-hugging cut of this wool sweater makes it a feminine sartorial choice for the current frosty January temperatures. We are liking the deep burgundy colour, along with the round neckline and ribbed detail.

Vila Tie Neck Frill Hem Shirt, $27: With its sweet rounded Peter Pan collar, this feminine blouse fits into the season’s preppy trends. For a finishing touch, the tie around the neck and the frilly hemline add visual interest to an otherwise simple shirt.

Soteer Women’s Long Sleeve Button Down Collared Blouse Shirt, $68: For a finishing touch, try slipping a similar ivory button down under your knit sweater. This cotton blouse makes a statement with its pointed collar and loosely rolled sleeves.
