Black Dresses Steal The Spotlight At The 2018 Golden Globes

Although the red carpet at the Golden Globes is generally filled with colourful frocks, this year was a different story. The 2018 Golden Globes featured a bevy of black dresses, in support of the #MeToo movement in Hollywood. Despite this style code which was fully in effect, the awards show still managed to be an incredibly stylish sight. From Alison Brie to Diane Kruger, we’ve rounded up a few stellar celebrity looks from last night’s festivities.

Alison Brie

The 35-year-old actress stepped out in this stunning Vassilis Zoulias one-piece ensemble, which featured a pair of straight black trousers and a strapless, floor-length evening gown. With its sweetheart neckline and voluminous hemline, this outfit certainly steals the spotlight. For a finishing touch, Brie accessorized her look with an intricate diamond statement necklace.

Dakota Johnson

Staying true to her ladylike style, the Fifty Shades Freed star looked gorgeous in a shimmering, strappy Gucci gown. With a long train and an embellished, waist-cinching decorative belt, the 28-year-old brunette bombshell lit up the red carpet. For a finishing touch, the tiny spaghetti straps on her gown added a stylish element.

Diane Kruger

The 41-year-old German actress donned a black Prada dress, which featured a wrapped bodice that emphasized her bustline. Complete with a dramatic cape and train, the floor-length creation also detailed with a softly pleated hemline and contrasting metallic trim. Kruger turned to a silver box clutch and drop earrings to accessorize her ensemble in true screen siren style.
